make me smile :)

This friday night I am leading worship at a church in LA. I am stoked! it has been a long time since I have led worship.  I got my team set and it is going to be a blast!  Lori wants to get a hotel and creep around Hollywood on Saturday.  That should be f u n!

this past Saturday I went to The Gate with Leesh and my lil sis.  We had a very good time.  Finally got to see my lil shark boy Marcel play <3 It was so cute watching him rock out on stage.  It was also entertaining watching all these little girls drooling over him... Gosh... and these girls were like 12! haha.  O well, lil scene show skanks in the making.


One last thing, why can't people own up to their actions and take the consequences like a real man or woman?  Reap what you sow.  Don't blame others.

Girls weekend fun!

Friday : ADAM CAROLLA! Leesh and I had a blast! When the show was over we actually got to meet him & he signed a sticker for us lol.  We also bought the sweat pants that say GET IT ON! on the back haha. ps. i know i look horrible haha.  After we went to the Denny's down the street so Leesh could sober up before we went back to my aunt's house.  As soon as we got home we KNOCED OUT..


Saturday:  Got to spend time with my lil cousins.  I've missed them so much! My lil Nito is gettting so big! :'). Leesh, my sis and I went on a hike at Conejo Botanical Gardens. Its so pretty there.  It made me really miss my hometown.

After our hike we went to Juanito's baseball game.  He is sucha  good player.  I remember when he was 4 yrs old saying he was going to become a pro and buy all of us a house haha.  After the game we went to TGIF.  I wish we had one in Bakersfield. It was so GOOD! haha.

Sunday:  Went to Venice for a bit and then off to Santa Monica to buy some American Apparel shirts.  I spent $114 on 6 shirts!!! omg : o  but it was so worth it lol.  After we went back to the valley to do a photoshoot with my brother.  His band Love Darling is endorsed by MAVRX and so he wanted to get some photos of him wearing their gear.  Whiel during pur shoot, he told me iw as getting real good at photography and was surprised how impressed he was. haha.  Always makes me feel good about myself when someone liek Christian compliments you. When we were finished with the shoot Chris and I went back to his place to upload them.  We had a real good short converstaion on life and such.  I really enjoy those talks and miss them.  I've learned so much from him even tho he is the BIGGEST JERK ever!! :p 




Well that was my weekend!


Valentien's Day was nice too.  Trav brought Macaroni Grill to my house and we had some yummy foods.

School, Work, and Fun :)

SCHOOL: I started school last week and I am taking COM 111 and PSY 121.  My COM teacher is nuts!!!!!  He kept telling us and insisting that he is a huge jerk and will give us so much to do, and he was right.  I have a 10-12 pg paper about a "church issue" due in... 4 weeks from today.  That is not including the cover page, prospectus, annotated bibliography or references page.  My prospectus is due tomorrow (Mine is about 4-5 pages long).  I think I am just about finished with; just need to revise my preliminary outline.


The subject i am writing about is tattoos, piercings, and "heavy worship": Is it okay to have in the church.  I chose this subject because it is very near and dear to me.  It is something that I have personally struggled with, especially at my parent's church.  Although all humans are judgmental, the "church" should not judge people and exclude people from God's love.  While i was researching this, I found that there are very few published works on the subject but many articles and forums about it.  Most being against it.  So, I have decided to do my own research with a small pool of people, being my FB friends.  Who better to ask ?'s to than real, normal, day to day people.   I have been posting survey ?'s to gain insight on what the avg. people think about the subject.  Here are a few of the ?'s i have posted.

• - What is "heavy worship"?

• - Have you ever felt like you were misjudged by a "church person" because of your tattoos, piercings or appearance?

• -  Is the use of Metal, Punk, Hardcore, etc. distracting to the gospel of God? Can Christian music really have these genres of music?

• - For those who dnt agree with tattoos, piercings or heavy music involved with Christianty, why?

• - Has anyone every felt the Holy Spirit, inspired/moved or saved by a Christian band that plays "heavy worship"( metal, punk, hardcore, etc.) ?

• - Lev. 19 is the chapter where we first here God say "don't put any markings on your body for the dead... I am the Lord" That same chapter talk about not eating pork, shellfish, for men, not cutting their beards and we also hear do not wear clothes of mixed linen. Is it fair to only take partial parts of this chapter, as most churches do, or is it either you take it all or none type of thing? 

I am very excited and actually looking forward to this paper now.  I have already learned so much on what people think both inside and outside of the church.  In my head I like to think that my paper could get published ;)


WORK: So, I am in a new office building, THANK GOD!  Away from that mean, annoying lady who thinks is the boss. I think she finally went on maternity leave, who cares.  I am loving having my own office and bathroom! My office is way bigger than the other one I had, it is actually bigger than my bosses lol.  o well, his choice to stay in the other small building.  The only down side I have now is that I pretty much have to train the new typist.... who is like 40 years older than me.  It has gotten better.  at first it was real annoying because he would ask the most obvious ?'s or he would want to try his own way... even though I have a degree in paralegal studies and have been a paralegal for 3 years.  Anyways the receptionist is also way older than me and kinda s l o w.  I finally had to pull her aside and ask her to please not come into my office when I am on the phone or have clients in there.  I mean this lady would start taking over me while I was going over important things with clients! no bueno!


Fun: Last weekend's show was insane, too much fighting and girls screaming F U to everyone and girl pushing girls visa versa.  So dumb.  Im sure in their head they had a very good reason but do they to realize that to the rest of the world they look pathetic and childish?  IDK.  It was very entertaining though.  I hope no one got real hurt or in trouble though.  We also went to Santa Monica on Saturday.  That was fun, lots of walking around and shopping, although i probably spent less than $300 haha.  Sunday was the super bowl, I just stayed home and did research. 


Anyways this weekend is going to be another FUN FUN FUN weekend! I got tix to see The Ace Man, Adam Carolla! If you didn't know, I LOVE HIM.  Probably one the smartest and funniest man on the planet.  It's gonna be a girls weekend, Just me, Leesh, and my sis.  We are gonna stay at my Aunt Angelica's house so i know it is going to crazy fun!

It has been quite a while since I have posted anything on here.  For a quick up date on life here are a few things that I have been up to.


- I am now 21 
- Not dating anyone at the moment
- Still in college..................
- Still working at the law firm, only now I am in a different building.  It is real nice to be away from all the "drama" in the other office haha.




That is pretty much it. Very boring lately :(
However, this summer does look promising :)
Warped Tour, April Foolishness and Sound and Fury Fest! This summer WILL be the BEST yet.
